Foods for Not Being a Numpty (vegan edition)
I am relatively poor, badly-nourished and going a bit vegan. I was failing so badly, and lacking imagination, so here I am compiling a list of snacks and ready-edibles so that I don’t die of malnourishment or boredom.
What have I missed from the list?
Snackables
- Avocados
- Cucumbers
- Humous
- Olives (preferably in oil)
- Kiwi fruit
- Nuts, the flavoursome kind
- Vegan sausage rolls - do they exist?
- Rice crackers/cakes
- Flapjacks
- Indian stuff like samosas, pakora thingies and onion bhaji
- Sesame toast? How?
- Guacamole - but not from supermarkets because it sucks and has cream in it
Useful stuff for throwing together a meal
- Tortilla wraps
- Pesto
- Puy lentils
- Peas
- Capers
- Leeks
- Pies
Are you vegan? Is there anything you must have in your cupboard at all times?

Marmite was a pretty big feature of pretty much everything when Nate was vegan. Adds B vitamins and yummy flavour.
